This reminds me of something I wrote a long time ago called The Wonderful Contraption. It was a story of an old man who was deemed insane by all those who knew him. He spent all of his time working on this contraption that he said would change the world. One day his neibors got sick of all the hammering, and tinkering going on, and disrupting their lives, things going bang in the odd hours of the night. They called the police, and he was arrested and put into an institution. The contraption sat for years just collecting rust. Vines grew up over it's many gears, and pulleys. Small animals made their homes within it's dark recesses, and as more time went by the people of the town forgot all about the old man, and his contraption, that is untill litt le Billy turned it on.

Great subject. If the background was blurred, desaturated or something it would bring out your subject a bit more. I like, but am a little distracted by the background.

thanks for the kind comment - actually, the background is part of the subject matter, but
i see what you're saying ... just not what i was personally going for with the shot ;)
